A 16 patch quilt with Liberty of London and Nani IRO double gauze for my last child. See more photos and read about how it was made.
Several months ago I participated in a worldwide Liberty postage stamp block swap. Twenty-eight women across the globe made twenty-eight sixteen patch blocks, and we sent off twenty-seven of them to the other women and received as many in return. Liberty has such a vast range we were sure to get back a variety of...
I have several seasoned clients that I’ve made many a project for. I always love making for those people, because I feel like I know them a little bit through the creative journey I’ve gone on with them. One particular lady has such stellar and consistent taste in color, and she is always a joy to...
Welcome to Olivia Jane Handcrafted! I'm Meredith and this is my creative journal. Here you'll find loads of inspiration for a handmade wardrobe, home decor, bags, and quilts. I even have plenty of projects and tutorials to get you started or help you along the way.
It’s gorgeous Meredith and I love the charm of the photos you captured! They have their own story about Teddy and to me are perfect much more endearing!! Elle used to be a real charmer with photos but now she really doesn’t enjoy the process… I think I used up all her photo credit as a baby haha! My boys went through patches of being difficult but they mostly know how to quickly grin and bear it now so that it will be over quicker haha!
Elle was a model extraordinaire! I can’t picture her ever putting up a fuss. All of your children are so beautiful. I’m hoping Teddy will learn to grin and bear it soon!
I was not a quilter when my children were small, so the handmade things that I made for them were mostly clothing & p.j.s. I think it is lovely that you were able to use the same fabrics in deciliter ways for each child and of course Liberty is so timeless. Well done!
Thank you! I love that anything handmade is so precious. Those clothes and PJs are probably one of the things they will always remember about you and their childhood.
