Did you get a new sewing machine? I need a new one and am VERY overwhelmed about what is best/cost effective/good for sewing clothing and quilting, but not buying more machine than I need. If you have any tips about how to go about buying a new machine I would REALLY appreciate it!

These are really cute, the only problem I have with the cloth coasters is that they are so absorbent and I have a glass of ice water or tea with me at all times. I could probably go thru a couple of dozen of these in a day!! LOL What would be a good suggestion for something to either go in the middle or on the bottom to be water proof for your furniture? Hi there, Judy. I only have glass cups that sweat a ton too, which is why I make my coasters with cloth. I use a layer of 100% cotton batting in the middle, and have never experienced a leak or wet furniture. I’ve been using the same set for about five years. If you are really concerned with the coasters soaking and leaking, try using a double layer of batting, and just be sure it is 100% cotton. My favorite is Warm N Natural. Happy crafting!ReplyCancel

What a pretty bundle. Seems like there’s a lot of solid bundles going on today in my feed reader! I’d use this bundle for a couple fun patchwork zipper bags I sketched up the other day.
