Oh my gosh what a beautiful story. I hope you print this off and tuck it away someplace for your children and grandchildren can read over and over. All that happens just goes to shape us into who we are as we grow and move to what we can become.
i too have wonderful memories of my grandmother’s christmas oddities. I now am obsessed with tinsel/evergleam christmas trees! and rotating tree bases! love the vintage look of this quilt. I too have garland just sitting waiting and perhaps this is the perfect solution for me too! sometimes fabric just begs to be made into patchwork. Merry Christmas!
