When I needed some more shorts for summer dressing, I reached for the Deer and Doe Chataigne Shorts and paired them with Liberty denim. Check out this post to read about this great pattern!

The fabric is making me five shades of green, the scallops break my heart. Love them. Last time I made some it was for my 30 something daughter probably in pre school years. Your shorts are lovely
Love the advice about the basic block from which the pattern company drafts. I’m so old school you only ever had one choice: Butterick/McCalls/Simplicity/Vogue which all used the same body type. Looking at the Deer and Doe, it makes me wonder why that adorable pattern didn’t include a pants version! I’m thinking with long legs those would be awesome slacks, too! Hmmm….maybe even with the scallop at the hem there, too!
Hey that’s an amazing idea! I bet it wouldn’t be that hard to make them full length. It would totally be a cute trouser style. Now you’ve got my wheels turning, Sarah!
