I can’t believe I never blogged about this, but last year I got the privilege of working with Alison Glass on one of her new quilt patterns. Well, she wrote the pattern and all that, but she let me make the quilt on the cover of the paper pattern! (And Angela Walters quilted it! How...

Such beautiful quilt ideas and fabrics! I just got my Alison Glass Massdrop bundle. So excited. I don’t have enough quilts acquired yet to be swapping any out…. but I have my favourites (bundled under one now!). I’m sure it will be hard to let go if that day ever comes.
I’ve had the same quilt on my bed for 16 years! It was a wedding gift and I flip it over when I’m tired of the front :) Definitely needs to be replaced though :) beautiful cover quilt and pattern! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love this pattern!
We recently moved and were using a white coverlet on our bed with an smaller quilt for color. I’m super tired of the smaller quilt. Often times I will just put the smaller quilt on the bench and the bed looks cleaner. I always need the back of the quilt to be something I really like because I need to switch things around often.
I love the geese! I have yet let go of my quilts enough to put them on my bed! It is a failing to just look at them and touch them. Soon! I’d love to win!
Right now it is one quilt and we add another for winter, but I want to make some so that I can switch them up a little.
I’ve never made a quilt big enough for my bed. I usually throw one across the foot of the bed or the upholstered chair in my room. Until now, I never thought of swapping it out for another. I will have to do that! Thanks!
I only have two of my handmade quilts to fit our king size bed and I do switch them.
Well…….I try to change with the seasons, but I don’t always get around to it
Thanks for the chance : )
I’m actually make my first quilt for my bed. It’s been sitting in a stack for the last six months and I’m hoping to get back to it very soon!
I haven’t made a quilt for my bed yet. It is a king, but I have made 2 for my spare beds. I hope to make a few quilts soon, so that I can change them out for the different seasons.
We just upgraded to a king size bed, so I haven’t made a quilt for it yet. But I would totally have a bunch and change them out with the seasons :)
We allow our dog on our bed (very bad habit) so we just have a target quilt cover…something that won’t pain me to wash weekly and see “dissolve” over time. I would hate to see something I made get so worn out, but I’ve recently decided to get over it and I’m making a scrappy quilt as a test run. It is something I won’t mind if the dog stains it or if the washing machine wears it down.
I have a bed quilt that my sister made for us for Christmas a couple of years ago. I put it on our bed just for the holidays, and then switch back to our store bought bedspread which stays on for most of the year. Thanks for the chance to win.
I keep wanting to make a quilt for my bed but somehow there is always a gift quilt or two ahead of it in the queue! One day I also hope to have a pile of quilts that I can switch around… :)
I switch my quilts. I love to quilt I have them everywhere. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have one main quilt that is practically falling apart. It coordinates best with the rest of the room, so I only switch it out when it needs cleaning or a mend. I’ve been looking to make a new one- I LOVE this pattern, so maybe this can be it!
I like to change my bedding spring/summer & fall/winter.
I love Allison Glass’ patterns! I can’t wait to see your queen-size version. I keep the same quilt on my bed – but I don’t have that many to change around;-)
Your work is inspiring. Years ago I made a quilt for my sister, who took it with her when she married, who shared it with her son when he married and I think it died from overwork. I used to love changing the quilts when I changed the sheets, often picking sheets that would go with a quilt. I’m on Long Island, NY and last years blizzard, nor’easter & all other gifts of nature ended up flooding our basement and we lost so many things. Sometimes it’s the memories of happy events with the lost items that hits the hardest. Among the carnage were my quilts. My DH went to get me one since he knew that since I was bedridden, I wouldn’t be able to make one. So now it’s one. He also gave me a quilt stand & I think of it as a reason to keep working on my recovery so one day I can I can fill it. :-)
The quilt I keep on my bed is one my grandmother made for my husband and me.
I switch them quite often, once in a month I think! :)
I don’t have a quilt on my bed, just a comforter. Maybe when I finish a bed-size quilt, I will put it on my bed! Right now I’ve only done baby- and lap-size quilts.
Sadly… I have a scruffy old coverlet from HomeGoods on my bed and have for years :(
I give away everything I make as fast as its finished. None of my immediate family has anything. Its all extended family and paid commission work. Think I need to re-evaluate my priorities! What is it they say, the cobblers kids have no shoes???
I love switching each season, but sometimes I forget. :)
I only have 2 quilts that fit our bed so I swap them around!
I love flying geese and Alison Glass – the perfect combination!!
I just have the one on my bed. Well, I did, until I put it over my newborn’s window in lieu of the curtains I *still* haven’t made, LOL.
I had the same quilt on my Bedford about twenty years , but since I have become… ummmmm… quilt-obsessed lately, I switch them out fairly frequently. Right now, I have an all-voile quilt with silk and bamboo batting on and it is heavenly for summer!!
I would *like* to have quilts to change out on my bed but that means I have to make another quilt for me and stop giving them away or selling them! I do however change out my lap quilts on the couch with the seasons….. Christmas is my favourite so sometimes it sits until march but this year I hope to make a valentine’s quilt…
thanks for the chance to win!
So far I’ve used 1 until it looks very very well loved then make a new one :) working on a new one now as the current quilt is from 2008!
I switch the quilts around on all the beds in the house. julie.mckay@xtra.co.nz
