I don’t know how you feel about clothes and the way you look in general, but for me, the way I present myself says a lot about who I am. I like for my clothes to reflect my personality. In the day to day grind at home, when I’m with the kids all day long,...
Your skirt is STUNNING! Perfect fabric for this pattern (they should feature it to sell the pattern or the fabric! :) I love their patterns too – I have the Vogue dress by them which is a beautiful dress pattern.
You are so sweet, Kathleen!
How to put on tights:
Take one leg, put your thumbs in them, keeping the seam to the inside. Using your thumbs and fingers on opposite sides of the leg bunch up the entire leg until you reach the toe. Put your foot all the way in and slowly roll the leg up your leg halfway around your knee. Repeat for the other side and pull all the way up. Pull up bunchy bits at leg then the crotch then the waist. This way your rings don’t even go on the inside to snag.
Thank you! I’ve been putting them on that way, so I’m glad to know it’s right. I snagged them in public when I brushed them with my ring! I’ll have to be more careful in the future. They aren’t cheap if I only get to wear them once. Ha!
I love the colored tights! I live in the Great Lakes region, and sometimes wear a lighter legging under a skirt (and with boots on, you cannot tell they aren’t tights) or sweater tights (like we wore when we were kids!) and have found those to be so comfy warm, and personally love the look too (though I usually wear solid colored skirts). Anyways, a glue stick or clear polish will stop a run in tights. I don’t keep either in my purse, but a glue stick wouldn’t take up much space. And, as always, your wardrobe creations are spot on gorgeous!!
That’s a great tip and one I’ve never heard. Thank you!
This skirt is fabulous! Well done and welcome back. I have been following your blog for a couple of years now and I am very happy to see you posting garments again:)
