This weekend I finished up my second of five panels on my AMH needlepoint. I like it much better with that pink background, especially since I went too heavy on the yellow. I was wonderful to sit down and do nothing but needlepoint. I didn’t have a half completed quilting project lurking in the back of my mind, no projects that need to me made pronto, so I just sat and stitched away, totally relaxed on Sunday afternoon.
Unfortunately, my canvas warped a little bit once I added the pink, but I’m hoping it will straighten up once I finish the needlepointing and can sew it into a beautiful bolster. I’m not going to let a little slant in the work get me down. There is always a way to fudge it to make it look better.
This flower is still my very favorite. I wish I could see the whole thing.
I’ve already started on the third panel, and since there are not many tiny spots of color, I’m thinking I will be able to work through it fairly quickly. Fingers crossed!
I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon! I’ve got to go do my sales tax stuff.

So pretty!
Don’t worry, needlepoint always stretches like that. You just have to block it after you’re done. If you haven’t blocked before, all you have to do is wet the finished canvas then stretch it back into shape and pin it to a board covered in an old towel. Leave it to dry pinned to the board and once it’s dry it’s perfect!
Oh okay. I just though my stitching was a little off. That is super helpful, though. Thanks!
