I realize I’ve already posted today, but I promise not to be a Debbie Downer this time. Today is the coolest day!!!! I checked the mail earlier and sorted through it. Our mail lady came back to deliver another package. I’m so giddy right now, so please bear with me… That package was from Anna Maria Horner. I thought maybe Justin had ordered something from her shop for my birthday. When I asked him, he said that he hadn’t done that, so I quickly opened that package and found a stack of fabric. I hadn’t ordered it, so I thought maybe it had just shipped to the wrong address. Only it wasn’t shipped to the wrong address. Under all that glorious fabric was a note from Anna Maria saying that she sent me the fabric to give me some variety with my “B” pieces for the Spinning Stars Quilt. I sent out a request for help and boy did she deliver!
The fabric is just stunning and goes perfectly with Innocent Crush and the solid voile I was already using. I’m so beyond stoked right now its hard to explain how excited I am. I’m thrilled, tickled (as my mother would say), elated….
Seriously, this is the coolest day. And I don’t care what happens on my actual birthday, because that day has been made. It is assuredly awesome because now I will be able to tell my children and grandchildren that Anna Maria helped me pick out the colors for this quilt. Not only did she design every piece of fabric going into it, she sent me her suggestions. EEE! Everybody that knows me knows how much I admire Anna Maria, as I’m talking to someone (Emilee, Mama, or Justin mainly) about her or her fabric on a daily basis. This is just such a blessing to me and I’m so thankful.
I better get back to cutting so I can start piecing tomorrow! If you are reading this, Anna Maria, thank you, thank you, thank you! :D :D :D
