Its such a beautiful Thursday here in Southwest Florida. Its so sunny and hot today, you would never know the past several days have been filled with rain and ominous cloudy, gray skies. It just really reminds me that God is so good. He takes care of all of His creation.
Today I received some packages in the mail- always a fun part of the day! I received the remainder of the fabric I need to make a custom baby quilt for the shop. These are the gray and blue colorways from Parson Gray’s debut line, Curious Nature. I purchased this fat quarter set from Moona on Etsy.
I’ve already cut out the border pieces and made up the binding. I thought I’d go ahead and do what I could to save some time later. I’m glad I did because I now have less to do this evening!
A fun bundle of Rennaisance Ribbons from Anna Maria Horner came in the mail as well. Once I got a few, I knew I wanted more. I don’t have all of them, but at this point I don’t think I need all of them. That will most likely change when I start incorporating them into projects (isn’t that what always happens?). I also received a complimentary scrap bag with my purchase. It contains lots of goodies!
I also made a trip to the Golden Needle today. I needed to stock up on Perle cottons for the Love quilt I’m working on. I didn’t have colors that matched perfectly, so I got several Perle 5s for the stitching I’m doing around some of the larger designs. I also got some Perle 8s for the actual quilting. Its hard to resist those little spools. I would not mind having one in every color!
Well that’s all I have for you today. I do hope you are having a great week! And I’m dying to know what you’re doing this summer. Do you go into crafting mode come summer, or do you take a break for other things like vacations and home improvements? I don’t think the crafting ever stops here!
