Back in March, the husband bought me Rifle Paper Co’s latest fabric collection, Wonderland for my birthday. My very favorite print in the collection is the green floral rayon (okay, it’s actually a black background, but it reads green to me). Cotton + Steel has the very best rayon in my opinion. It’s so soft and supple,...

so cute, meredith!
Thank you!
So glad you posted about this! I have the red colorway of that rayon and can’t figure out what to make with it. I’ve been curious about sew over it patterns too. In love with their new penny dress but was reluctant to try it. Looking forward to seeing more of their stuff from you!
They have so many patterns to choose from, and I think they are well done. There are plenty of patterns I would say no to, but they seem to do a great job. I’ll definitely be making more.
Beautiful dress Meredith! I’ll keep that in mind re Cotton & Steel rayon’s quality being the best. I had stopped being a rayon fan a while ago – tired of the fraying, pilling and in general just lack of endurance :) But rayons can really showcase a beautiful print like in your case! I have made Sew Over It Ultimate Shift dress and couldn’t recommend this pattern enough! It’s one of my go-to’s :)
I love their Shift Dress! I haven’t made it but I do love the ones I’ve seen from others. Shift dresses don’t tend to look great on me in my current curvy state, but my husband is helping me to get in better shape so I hope to give it a go in the future.
This is darling! I made the By Hand London Anna dress out of this fabric and it is by far one of my favorite makes! I just bought the Sew Over It shirt dress pattern, but I need to figure out what fabric to use :)
This fabric is what dreams are made of!
The dress looks so pretty on you! The great thing about rayon is that it drapes so nicely that even if it’s too big it’s not super obvious. I agree that the Cotton + Steel rayon is the best. I love working with it. The only Sew Over It pattern I’ve made is the Heather dress but I’ve got the Ultimate trousers pattern waiting for me to make eventually.
I just signed up for their PDF club and the Heather dress is one of the patterns I’ve been eyeing. Do you love it?
