This is such an exciting time of year. It’s my favorite actually. I love the cooler, drier weather. I love being able to break out all five of my long sleeve shirts and drink hot chocolate with a candy cane. I love having a tree put up in my house. And I absolutely love getting...
Lots of goodies!! Alison’s fabric is just fabulous. I bought some Bike Path last week. Hope to get it any day!
What happened with the Art Gallery fabrics? Can you say why it was difficult the first time around? So glad to see you’re a quilter too.
I had a terrible time with the quality of fabric. Upon placing an iron on it, it shrunk significantly, which should NOT happen especially to the degree it shrunk up. It also felt very cheap, as though it could rip with little effort. Nothing like voile, which is tightly woven with tiny threads and quite durable. I’m such a Free Spirit girl, I have a difficult time using something so clearly of a lesser quality. Lucky Penny is from Andover which also uses a wonderful base cotton, similar in strength and quality to Free Spirit, which combined with the great prints made me fall immediately in love with the line. I’m going to give the Art Gallery another go at some point, at which time I’ll give an update on my experience with it. I’m totally open to an opinion change, but I simply cannot sacrifice quality for a pretty print. Hope this answers your question! :D
