Ack, this is too cute! I just want my tests to be over so I can start playing with these ideas. Love the ribbon ties. :)
Doh, I was totally not planning on making a tree skirt but I may just have to make this…
This is so gorgeous Meredith! I especially love your color scheme and that pom pom trim!
I love your tree skirt!I especially adore that embroidered tree! And the trim is fun!!
You had me at Pom poms. So cute. How big does this measure across?
Mine has a 42″ diameter. I have a narrow tree, but I really wanted a bigger tree skirt, so I went for the full size!
I love your tree skirt too, Meredith! I’m loving everything and am enjoying following along!
This is a beautiful tree skirt! Does a seam allowance need to be added around the wedge pattern piece?
No seam allowance needed! It’s already included in the pattern piece!
This is just what I’ve been looking for! Can you tell me what the seam allowance is on the wedges? Thanks!
What kind of stabilizer do you use? I’m planning to make one of these for my cousin for a wedding gift.
I generally just use a mid or lightweight fusible interfacing from Pellon. :)
How do I send you photos? I don’t have flicker or instagram accounts.

I don’t understand what size the pattern is (that you cut out 20 of)
Hello again. I figured out you actually have a 2 piece printout for the wedge! THANK YOU. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING QUILT> /
Your tutorial is great! I have already cut out my fabric, I was just winging it…I was nervous about what I do next. Your pics and tutorial helps so much! Thank you!
Meredith, embroidery newbie, here. Did you hand stitch or use a machine to embroider? I have a “normal” singer. With the appropriate thread and needle, am I able to use my machine (for the straight stitching at least)? Thanks!
I guess the straight stitching is actually considered “quilting” and not “embroidering.” Still, is it possible to use a normal machine with the thicker thread to accomplish this look?
I’m not sure that you could do the running stitch style quilting on a machine, but a straight stitch would work if you want to do that. :)
For all of the embroidery, I hooped it up and did it by hand.
Thanks for your help and prompt response! Praying I get this finished as a Christmas gift!
