I’m still working through piecing the Spinning Stars Quilt. I’m now into the colors that AMH sent me, and I just adore the maroon shade. Its so perfect with Innocent Crush I find myself wondering if I ought to have used this shade for the whole quilt.
I’ve got my layout down, and I won’t be posting any more pictures until I’m finished with the top of the quilt. I think you are going to like it!
I told you on Saturday I was going to another quilt show. The whole reason I went was so I could shop at Sundara Fabrics again. I have to confess I didn’t really look at any of the quilts on account of the fact that none of them were modern. In fact, Sundara Fabrics was the only shop there with modern fabrics. How are any of the younger generations ever going to want to sew if there are not modern fabric options locally? It’s a bit disheartening, but I am so happy there are so many small businesses online I can support when I buy fabric.
Here’s a look at what I got at the show. First, I got these stunning African wax batiks:
I also got these Cut Out and Keep fabrics, which I love!
Finally, I picked up these fat quarters which will are destined to become crayon rolls.
All of these fabrics were purchased from Sundara Fabrics. If you haven’t ever been on their site, definitely check it out here.
