Maaaail Daaaay!

I absolutely love mail day. Especially when I’m not expecting packages yet, but they come a day or so early. I was hoping for a big mail day on Monday, but three of my parcels came today. Let’s take a look:

First, I have my glorious bundle of Modern Meadow fabric from Joel Dewberry.

I got this half yard set to make Mildred Bags for Boca Grande Outfitters. The fabric looked just lovely online, but its rich colors are even more stunning in person. I’m so happy I went with this line and I’m fairly sure I’ll be ordering more!

Its funny really, I was having the worst day ever, trying to come up with some new business ideas and how to get money to do them, cleaning up multiple serious messes after Layla, and I was sick. I had my cart full of fabric that I had picked out a few weeks ago, and three or four of the fabrics were out of stock. I had to replace them with some alternatives. Hawthorne Threads shipped my order immediately (love them!) and then not an hour later I got an email that the fabrics I had taken out of my cart were back in stock. It was certainly a grr moment, but I love the fabric I did get. I’m so excited make up the bags!

I also got a set of 25 9″ zippers from ZipIt on Etsy. I love love love working with them! Jennie sent along a color card with my order which was awesome of her. I’ll no doubt be using that for reference over and over again. If ever you need zippers, I highly recommend ZipIt. She has every possible color and size you can think of, and will very quickly put together a custom order.

Lastly, I received my custom order of swivel hooks and D Rings from Sewing Supplies on Etsy. I’ve worked with LoraLee a few other times, and her shop is just awesome. She has everything- at unbeatable prices too! Again, if you need any sort of sewing hardware, do check out Sewing Supplies on Etsy!

I’m headed out to the island to take some pictures of my Spinning Stars Quilt top, so expect to see it in the next day or so! I’m so thrilled to be finished with that phase of the quilt-making process, and once my batting arrives on Monday, I’ll be diving into basting and quilting! Woot!

I do hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!!
