As it turns out, once I picked up my needlepoint kit on Sunday evening, I couldn’t put it down. I recommend not starting one until you have time to commit because its very addictive and you won’t be able to stop. I finished one of the smaller portions yesterday, and I’ve now begun one of the larger portions.
There are five sections in all, two small and three large. I really need to finish my Spinning Stars quilt though, and the whole reason why I put the needlepoint kit out of sight when I got it was so I wouldn’t be tempted to pick it up and forget the other things I need to finish first. Obviously my thought on that was correct, and I’m going to have to treat myself like a young child who gets limited computer time and allot myself a portion of time to work on the needlepoint before having to put it away and finish my big quilt. I love working on my quilt, and the needlepoint makes me want to do little else, so that pretty much sums up how awesome AMH‘s needleworks are.
Anyway, Wednesday and Thursday are quilt only days for me, as I really need to go ahead and finish up that gorgeous quilt. I want to put it on the bed already, so the needlepoint is going to have to stay in my chest (out of sight) for a couple of days.
Does this ever happen to you? Has something ever come along that will make you forget even your most beloved projects? Dish, people!
