I finished my second Family Reunion Dress (Oliver + S). I’m absolutely in love with this one. I used solid white fabric for the collar, placket, and hem facing, which I think really makes the dress pop. This fabric from Michelle Brummer Everett’s Monsterz is so precious; its the perfect shade of pink. I’m thinking I need the whole line of this super soft organic cotton.

Layla was not overly cooperative while Emilee was taking her picture (not that she ever is), but I think Emilee captured Layla’s personality pretty well. She got the dress too.

I very highly recommend the Family Reunion Dress pattern. This is the second time I’ve made this particular pattern, and its so easy! The instructions are so simple, clear, and straightforward. Let me shout it from the rooftops, “Liesl Gibson is a genius!”

My next dress on the list is another Oliver + S pattern, the Jump Rope Dress, which I will hopefully be able to tackle this week. Wish me luck!
