A Mini, A Dress, and Anthropologie

First up on today’s post is this baby quilt.

I’m so thrilled to have it finished. I hope the recipient of this quilt loves it very much. I was one of the very many contributors of blocks (there are so many girls who pitched in), and I just did the quilting and binding. I used various shades of Perle 5’s. The binding is just plain blue. I had no clue what to use for the binding as it was simple to “match” the quilt top and less simple to match the back. I think it’ll do.

Next up is this fabulous organic cotton from Monsterz (purchased at Hawthorne Threads). I’ll be spending the remainder of my day cutting out pattern pieces for another Family Reunion dress for Layla Grace. Maybe I’ll have it sewn up and ready to wear by Sunday….

Last up is a look at my successful shopping trip to Anthropologie. Emilee, Layla, and I headed down to Naples yesterday for a day of shopping. Well, half a day of shopping since it takes and hour and a half to get there and we didn’t even leave till noon. We stopped by J Crew first where I got a fabulous pair of purple shorts, and then we went to Anthropologie. We do so love Anthropologie. I have to say that I’m fairly disappointed with the stuff they are carrying currently, being the polar opposite of my style, but I did manage to find some great stuff for the kitchen. Check out these bowls!

I also got a couple of milk glasses. I love the vintage-y look of the glasses and I felt Justin really needed a milk glass or two. That boy goes through half a gallon of milk everyday. I do not drink milk and never have, but I think I can get away with some sweet tea in one every now and then….

Last but not least, I got these measuring cups. I already have a set of measuring spoons, and I think these will be a perfect addition to my cupboard.

I do hope this post finds you having a wonderful Friday! Enjoy your weekend!
