Today I decided I needed a simple and fulfilling, yet beautiful project to work on. I grabbed my stash of Amy Butler’s Lark, and immediately began to cut into this colorful stack.
I settled with 7.5″ squares, and I think I’ve ended up with about 90, though I may cut out more so that I end up with a round 100. I’m going to sew these beauties into a quilt top.
Lark is such a beautiful line. I think it is Amy’s best work- that and Love. The colors are amazing, and the patterns are equally stunning. I love that she ventured away from light and pastel colors for this line, and went for saturated, deeper tones.
I don’t have much of the line leftover, but I do have a nice (small) set of scraps that will look great in a later scrap project.
Hopefully I’ll have a finished top to show you tomorrow!

Lark is definitely my favorite AB line. There are a couple of the prints I’m not super crazy about, but overall I think the colors are fantastic! I’ve got a stack of my favorite Lark, plus some support, that I’m hoping to make into a picnic quilt. Running out of summer though!
