The past couple of weeks have been jam packed with Market and wedding sewing. About a month ago, my husband’s coworker asked him if I could make some ties for his wedding. The picture he showed him was of Libery ties which Justin immediately recognized- he actually said, “oh, I’m pretty sure that’s Liberty and my wife uses that all the time.” Yep. Proud moment right there.
Of course I agreed to take on the task, because, um, Liberty?! And he’s a friend of ours and we wanted to do it. I sent he and his fiance to Duckadilly where they had great fun browsing all the micro florals. They chose their fabrics and I set off to work. It was a fun project that I was able to take with me to Orlando when I visited her the weekend before her wedding. They are all hand stitched with lots of love and care.
I used Walter’s Tie pattern from Liberty Love, and made the groomsmen both skinny ties and coordinating pocket squares.
I even made a bow tie for the ring bearer!
I can’t wait to see pictures of the guys sporting these ties!
