I have a bit of a mixed post today. We’ll be covering a few things. First of all, I wanted to show you a couple projects I’ve been working on. Here I have an abundance of french knots that are part of one of my upcoming Christmas projects.
You can see here that I have many more to do before I’ll be finished with this space.
Second, I broke down and purchased the Wiksten Tank/Dress pattern. I’ve seen countless photos of them on Flickr and Pinterest, and even though I’m not sure its the perfect pattern for me, I had to give it a go. I’ve made up a muslin, devoid of pockets or bias tape, but I think it will work well in a fabric with a great drape like tana lawn or voile. I’m excited to show you what I come up with!
And now I get to share with you this lovely collection of fabric. Bloomsbury Gardens.
It is exquisite. I couldn’t afford the line when it came out a few weeks ago, and before I knew it, it was sold out entirely. When Sew Mama Sew sent out their newsletter announcing they had the full line, I knew that even if I had to go bust to get it, I couldn’t miss the opportunity.
So that is exactly what I did. I got four out of the five color ways, and I’m just thrilled to have them!
They are supposed to become bags for Boca Grande Outfitters, but I’m feeling some hesitation as I want to keep it all for myself. I know I need to use it for its intended purpose, however, so hopefully by the time those are made there will still be some of this line remaining for my own personal stashing.
That’s all I have for you today! I hope you have a beautiful Tuesday!
