Now that I’m finished with my Spinning Stars Quilt, I’m free to tackle so many other projects. Today I cut out the pieces for the Oliver + S Bubble Dress, and I have the top assembled. After I write this, I’m headed back to finish the rest of it.
I also wanted to show you my progress on my AMH needlepoint bolster. I’m not extremely far on it, as I’ve only worked on it on my lunch break for a few days at work. So this is only like two or three hours time. I plan to put much more time in to it over the next week, so hopefully I’ll be able to finish up this section soon. This is only my first experience with needlepoint, but when I saw that Anna Maria was coming out with these, I went ahead and ordered one and decided to teach myself as I went. That is true Meredith style since that’s kind of the way I do everything. It may not be the best way, but it has served me well in the sewing world.
Anyway, I got all my Father’s day shopping done. I found the best deal on something for Justin. I won’t tell what it is though because, one you wouldn’t be at all thrilled, and two if I said what it was today would be the one day Justin actually reads a post of mine. I also have my dad covered. He’s easy to buy for in the sense that he’ll literally be happy with anything any of us girls get him, but he’s hard to buy for in the sense that he doesn’t ever express real want for anything. And sometimes you just want to buy something he’ll really want. Ah well.
I do hope this post finds you having the best day. I’ll try to post pictures of Layla’s Bubble Dress tomorrow or Sunday.
