I’m a sucker for a few things. These include (but are not limited to): Layla’s grin (even when she’s done something wrong- maybe I should say especially instead of even), Justin showing his love whether in word or just a simple hug, romantic movies, The Office (a new addiction of mine thanks to instant on Netflix), antiques (the kind you have to dig through to find in a crammed antique store in the middle of nowhere)…. The list could go on, but I’ll keep it simple for you. But the one thing I really had in mind in titling this post is fabric. Thanks to Emilee, I can relate my fabric weakness to going into Target. You go in for one thing- just one thing! But let’s be honest here. Do you ever leave with just the item you planned to purchase prior to walking into Target? I don’t think so.
You see, this is what happened to me today. I’m not sure if I’m the victim of a scheme to just get me to buy buy buy, or if I’m just a fabriholic. Yes, I just made up that word as I typed the letters. I went into my local quilt shop, Quilts’n’More, today with the intention of getting a yard of Moda Dottie fabric for the backing to a quilt, and an additional half yard for the binding. But is that what happened? You should know the answer to that if you’ve read all the rambling leading to this point. I got sidetracked with Kate Spain’s gorgeous Central Park. So what do you know, I left with 10 fat quarters that are going to make one cute quilt top. And once I finish it and hang it on my wall, I’ll have to go back for backing and then this whole fabriholic thing will kick back into high gear. Come on, it is adorable, isn’t it?
On another note, here is the Teardrop Bag I made my mom on Saturday. Emilee was wonderful enough to snap some pictures for me since I didn’t get a chance to do so prior to giving it to my mom. A coordinating Key Keeper and iPhone case will also be made in the near future. Gotta protect the iPhone! What do you think?
I hope this post finds you enjoying your Tuesday!
How did you spend your Memorial Day?

Looks great, are you going to make more of these any time soon??
The bag, maybe. Any pattern that is not completely original to the person making it is illegal to sell in a business, so I won’t be making it for Olivia Jane Handcrafted. But it sure is a great bag! I wish I would have come up with it!
You mean you didn’t follow the pattern? It look just like the picture. I hear ya though, It took me a while to come up with my dress design. The pattern I originally got flopped on me, so I had to improvise and come up with something on my own. Took a while, but I did it. I’m sure you could come up with a design, you are so talented. You did make the JWYN’s after all.
Love the bag though. Maybe you could just make one for me off site. :)
