Today’s Wrap Up features “One-Yard Wonders” by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins. This fantastic book contains 101 sewing projects that you can make with one yard of fabric or less! So of course, this is the perfect go-to book if you’ve bought a yard of fabric that you found irresistable but you can’t figure out what project is worthy enough for you to cut into it.
“One-Yard Wonders” has eleven chapters that cover everything from a resource section on the fundamentals of sewing, to home decor, on the go sewing, clothing, baby clothing and toys, and even a chapter for pets!
I’ve made a few projects and I’m working on a few more. One of these is the “Craft or Gardening Apron”:
Another fun project is the “All Ages Classic Jumper” that I made for Layla. She loves the jumper, but she wasn’t loving standing still for a picture. Sorry about that. The first picture is the book’s example and the rest are of the dress I made.
One other project I completed was “Elodie, the Elephant” a super cute stuffed elephant that is pigeon toed. I’m working on the “Yoga Mat Bag” and the “Cuddly Bear Cushion”. The first picture is mine and the last two are from “One-Yard Wonders”.
“One-Yard Wonders” is a necessary resource if you love to sew or are wanting to learn. There are so many crafts in here that you can gift when you want to give a handmade item. Most of these projects can be completed in about an hour, so on a rainy day, you can make several and feel super productive.
I’ve added “One-Yard Wonders” by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins to my sidebar, so you can easily purchase it from Amazon.
Happy Sewing!
