As you know, I recieved a bundle of Little Folks by Anna Maria Horner on Monday. This gorgeous line is made of the softest cotton voile, making it perfect for babies. This fabric is also wider than typical quilting cotton at 54″!
I love that this line is saturated with that “AM color” that no one else has. Unlike what some normally think when voile is mentioned, Little Folks is full of life and both bright and dark colors. I love the prints in this line, which is why I had to have this fabric. I got into sewing after this line came out, and I now realize how quickly popular fabric gets snagged off the market. So I asked Justin if it was okay to buy what must have been the last FQ bundle of Little Folks on earth. I got 34 prints which did include the standard Little Folks prints and solids, but it did not include the Square Dance prints or Pastry line, which I hope to get sometime in the near future.
Though you would be hard pressed to find this line anywhere (I searched Google and Etsy for hours), AM does have other voile fabrics in her Innocent Crush line and her Lou Lou Thi line, which are wonderful. Also, these voile lines are more “adult friendly.”
Voile is ideal for baby blankets, quilts, and clothing. You won’t find a softer cotton anywhere! Plus, quilting with this fabric is a breeze, as a needle penetrates it as easily as butter.
