Taking the Plunge

I’m finally going to do it.

Cut into my stash of Little Folks, I mean. I’m making Layla Grace a toddler size quilt in the buttery soft voile for Christmas. I was going to back it with some Folksy Flannels, but I’m having a hard time finding them in larger cuts. I have many of them, but I wanted to do a solid back for this quilt, so I’m just backing it with more voile. No person in their right mind would complain about that. Last night I went through my stash, decided on the pattern and palettes to use, and then I ordered some more from AMH’s Pastry line. I’m going to get started on the cutting today so hopefully I will have less to do once the remainder of the fabric arrives. Also, I’m going to work on putting together a paper piecing tutorial for you this weekend. So, once again, I have lots on my plate, but I do hope to get through every bit of it in good time.

Wish me luck!
