What are the dimensions for the STRAPS??? I’ve overlooked them or you did…
This is an awesome tutorial. I’m going to try that this week. In fact, tomorrow!!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Could you make this with one regular 30″ zipper? No head to head sliders? Gorgeous bag!
Sure can!
Very nice tutorial. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the cosmetic bag tutorial!! What a great project and I think I may even make one as a Bible cover.
Thank you, Kim! If you do make one for your Bible, let me know how it turns out! That’s an awesome idea!
I’m a newbie beginner visual sewer! I love the fabric choice selected it’s gorgeous! Thanks so much for this great tutorial. I will try to do this though I have always followed YouTube videos sewing. Thanks so much!❤️✂️
Oh, you are quite welcome! If you give it a go, come on back and let me know!
My lining piece doesn’t fit well in the outer piece. What can I do?

I’m having trouble finding the dimensions for the straps.
Having trouble with directions on step 4. Should it be exterior spine instead of interior? I have read them over and over??
I apologize for the very late reply! The interior and exterior spines are the same. The one referenced in step 4 is the interior spine. :)
Just wondering the dimensions to cut for the straps? I’m making this right now for my son, great pattern!
I believe they are 4″x7.5″ but can be adjusted for larger or smaller hands. I’m just seeing your comment, so I apologize for the delay!!

Do you handstitch the blindstitch in the last step?
Yes. :)
Awesome
Awe how do I download this project?
There’s nothing to download. It’s all right here in the post. :)
Are we permitted to make this project to sell? I mean on a handmade level, for sale at craft fairs, or Etsy.
I am fine with small scale selling. Thank you so much for asking! I’d love to see it if you are on social media! You can tag me @thefooshe or hashtag #ojhcosmeticscase
If you are thinking of trying this bag I would caution you against it. Seems simple but the instructions are very sparse. Pieces are missing from the cut out instructions abd being an older post there is no follow up or maintenance of comments on this post. Go buy a paid pattern with better instructions. Hopefully this saves you from getting to the end and being so stuck you throw the project away.
Hi there, Kasey. I’m sorry you’ve had trouble with this. I have emails all the time about this pattern and how many folks have had success with it. If there’s something you have a question about please leave me a comment here or send me an email and I’m always happy to help. Like you said, this is a free pattern, but I’ve included everything that is needed and more to make a beautiful case.

Hello, your travel cosmetics case is very pretty. There is a problem that I can not get the photos of the steps. How to do? I thank you for answering me so that I can make it.
I’m not sure why the photos won’t load! They should auto load when you read the post as long as you don’t have the “reader” turned on on your browser.
I have a huge collection of zippers, and didn’t want to buy one for this project. So I took two 22″ zippers and overlapped them at the bottoms to equal 30″. Then I sewed them together with a zigzag stitch where they met in the center and cut away the excess. Saved me having to hunt for the special zipper I needed and used up some of my zipper stash as well. (The center won’t be seen in the finished product anyway.)
Very beautiful! Tanks for this!!❤️
This is so pretty and will be very useful. Already have some fabrics to make one. d course I’ll go to Duckadilly and get more Thanks so much
Thank you
