Stitched is a new collection I am introducing to Olivia Jane Handcrafted. This line will feature various products with handstitched detailing, or done completely by handstitching. I believe that handstitching adds a dimension and level of detail that cannot be accomplished by machine. With the time I am spending with each piece, there is certainly a big helping of love going into each product.

So far I have loaded three cosmetic bags into the shop, and I am very excited for more to follow. I’m also very excited about pursuing this angle of design and creativity as an artist. Handstitching can add a pop of detail to a machine pieced work, or it can also paint pictures on my work.

This is the Woodcut Potpourri Bag.  The handstitched Cilantro Bag serves the same purpose as the Woodcut Potpourri Bag, but it features some different detailing. This bag has horizontal stripes complimented by brown handstitching between each patterned row. The Cilantro Bag is one of a kind and was made with fabric from Amy Butler’s Soul Blossoms line. The Retro Cosmetics Bag is a super cute bag perfect for a girl with an inner hippie. This vintage style bag was made with fabric from Anna Maria’s Chocolate Lollipop line and features gold handstitching showcasing the center fabric.
