Layla is 8 months old, and she eats only the food I prepare for her. This consists of fruits and vegetables that I make and puree, and I serve them to her without any extras added.

Well every once in a while she gets a little treat, such as if we are out to eat and she is jealous that we’re eating cooler food than her. Or when we’re out and she needs to be appeased and the pacifier is not working. Example: while antique shopping on vacation, she got to share Daddy’s Tootsie Pop. Yes, it was a no no, but hey, who follows the childrearing rules to the t?

Today, Daddy was eating a chocolate chip cookie with some milk. I realize I probably do not need to explain further, but I will. He turned around to get something and when he went back to his cookie, it was in Layla’s mouth, and the evidence was all over the table, her fingers, and her precious little face. She knew she wasn’t allowed, but she made the sweetest little face with the most adorable smile. Come on. Could you reprimand such cuteness? Don’t even answer yes, because its a lie.
