I’ve made this great bunting for a curves class I’m taking. I’ve sewn curves before, but I do have a few things I would really like to learn. One of those things is being able to make my own curve templates. I have some quilt patterns in the works, but I really want to know the best way to go about making the pattern pieces.
This was my first little project for the class. The scallop bunting took very little time to make, with the greatest amount of time being spent on notching. I refuse to purchase a pinking blade for my rotary cutter. While it might actually make it easier to work with curved pieces, I absolutely hate fabric that has been cut with pinking shears whether its a charm pack or jelly roll, the pinked edges absolutely do not work for me.
What do you think? I love it already, and I’m excited to get to work on the next two projects!
Before I go, I have to show you these beautiful flowers from Justin.
These gorgeous hydrangeas are far out of our zone, so they don’t grow here. They are my very favorite flower though, so I was thrilled to get these from my husband!

Yes! I really wanted to make more, and I probably will add to these later. Can’t wait to see yours!
So pretty! I’m thinking, “Why, oh why did I never buy that lovely Anna Maria Horner print?” It looks so very nice here.
Thank you! And I have quite a bit of this fabric if you’d ever like to trade for, say, some Good Folks? Just saying! :D
