Well I’m finally posting my Rainbow Road tablerunner from curves class. This was my favorite project thus far, but next week’s projects look awesome so I’m expecting a new favorite then. Until then, this project is my favorite because it was so fun to make. I loved that I got to create my own curves and really make this piece me. The fabric I used for the curved pieces are from Anna Maria’s LouLouThi, and there are also some polka dots mixed in from Moda’s Dottie line.
I added a border to mine, which was primarily because I felt that it needed a single color to tie together the entire piece, and it was a little too busy without the grey. The border also made it a little bigger, so that’s a plus as well. The finished size is about 44″x16″.
I did handquilt the entire piece. It took longer than machine quilting would, but perhaps you will remember that I am handquilting all things that need quilting this year. No machine quilting for me (which works just fine because I have a great dislike for machine quilting).
The jade Perle cotton I used coordinated well with the backing I used for the runner. The fabric is Plumes in Teal from Anna Maria’s home decor line, Drawing Room.
I still have to finish up the binding, but I didn’t want to have to wait any longer to show you this project, so I hope you dont mind!

Meredith, I love your table runner. I started hand stitching mini quilts last October, and I am hooked! I enjoy the time it takes, and I love the look : ) Well done!
Thank you so much! Hand stitching is soo therapeutic for me! I go nuts when I don’t have some project I can stitch by hand.
This is AMAZING! I am working on a table runner out of the Loulouthi line but using log cabin squares. I love your table runner so much!
Fun to see this scrappy work again. So pretty!
