I’m definitely having an off day. Its pretty much the opposite of my productive can’t-stop-me days from last week. Its what one of my co-workers would refer to as the doldrums but in this case it applies to the whole day. But Emilee came to my rescue and fed me food from Panera, and that picked things right up. Thank God. And when I got home and checked the mail the day got even better. I got my last Swoon block! (I’m actually still missing two of them, but I honestly do not expect to ever get those two back as one of the people is highly irresponsible and the other is possibly dead. Who knows.) The point is, I now have enough blocks in my possession to complete the quilt!
Isn’t it pretty? She did such a beautiful job.
I also cut into my Maman stash today. Maman is a very feminine and beautiful line from Cloud 9. Its organic and I think it is positively lovely. I am, however, having a difficult time figuring out how I want to orient the fabrics. Which layout do you like better? The background is going to be a solid white since I don’t want to overwhelm the prints with anything too loud.
Well I’ve got to get going so I can sew together my Swoon quilt! I’ve had a quilter on standby for months and I hate to keep people waiting!

I’m so excited to see your finished Echo Swoon! Man alive, I need to get back to working on mine. And in my opinion, the second layout has more impact… either will look great though. Hope you are out of your doldrums tomorrow!
I like the second layout. I finished a giant star this summer and I love it. You can check it out on flickr. My name there is MsSpy. Tell me what you think..
i also like the second- beautiful btw!
