Oh wonderful half square triangle,

How many wonderful designs you make.

Your possiblities are endless.

Though it can take forever to assemble,

(Like when you are made into 2 1/2″ squares) 

Your simple design is always beautiful.

So I’m not John Keats. I hope that doesn’t disappoint you too very much.

The point is, I love half square triangle quilts. They are very basic for anyone who is just beginning. But depending on the size and layout, they can take a very long time to complete, making them perfect for very experienced quilters as well.

And I knew this bucket from Target would find good use:

After completion of the quilt top I didn’t have to sweep these up off the floor or wipe them off my desk. Boy, this makes staying clean fun.

Oh that York wrapper… yes, well you see, I also had to pick those up at Target. And this is only one wrapper. I did manage to eat the entire bag while working through this quilt top. A hard-working girl needs a snack every now and again!
