Hi everyone! I got my bundle of Little Folks in the mail today from Hawthorne Threads today! Here’s a picture along with my Folksy Flannels from Pink Castle Fabrics.
I’m still trying to decide whether to back Layla’s quilt with the flannel or voile, but I’m not losing any sleep over it because it will be much easier to decide once the quilt top is complete.
I’ve already begun cutting the voile I received today, so I hope to be well into the assembly process by Friday.
Also, I have completed the paper piecing tutorial for you. I think you will find this a very good tutorial if you have never tried paper piecing before. I have a picture for each and every step you will need to take to successfully complete the block I have included with the tutorial. This tutorial would be great if you are stuck trying to decide what to get someone on your Christmas list. The pattern is for a star that can be made into a potholder (or quilt, or just about anything you can think of), which would make a great small gift for a friend on your list.
You will find the link for the pattern piece on the tutorial page under the materials list. This pattern is free for personal use only. If you would like to share the pattern, please include a link back to this tutorial! To access the tutorial just look over at my sidebar —> and click on the Paper Piecing Tutorial + Free Pattern link.
I will have a sales post for Black Friday/Cyber Monday available for you tomorrow sometime. Until then, check out the shop and start making your list!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Just from my experience, Bella has a flannel blanket that she likes a lot more then her quilt. So my vote is for the flannel. Bummer you can’t back it with fleece, she’d probably like that even more!!
