Good morning to you! Its been a good Monday for me so far. I’ve taken Olivia Jane to the vet, and now I’m at Emilee’s freezing my booty off and eating my mom’s homemade chocolate ice cream.
Last month a dear friend of mine contacted me requesting a custom knitting needle case. I’d never made anything like it, but I was up for the challenge so I immediately set out to work. We spent a large amount of time swapping our “blueprints” for the bag back and forth along with the needle amounts and measurements. This booklike design is what we came up with:
Not including the four zippered pockets on the interior covers, there are 59 pockets for holding straight and double sided knitting needles. The four zippered pockets will hold her circular needles.
The exterior has been lined with interfacing and fusible fleece and has been quilted for additional durability. The exterior fabric is Dancing Paisley in Lemon from Amy Butler’s Soul Blossoms line, and the interior fabric is Free Spirit Designer Solid in Pebble.
I’m really happy with how this case has turned out. I hope it lasts my friend a really long time!
I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

WOW again I am amazed at your creations. This is amazing. How did you make the straight needle pockets? I’m trying to make an improved make-up brush roll but I haven’t been able to figure out how to give the pockets enough space for the brushes.
looks so lovely mere!
