Tonight we had the treat of meeting up with my family (minus Abigail :() for Italian at our local Mama’s Ristorante. My parents used to eat there every single day but Sunday (only because they are not open Sundays). Its definitely the best place in town, not that there are tons to chose from, but nevertheless.
I had the eggplant parm, and it was the very best I’ve ever gotten the privilege of tasting outside my moms. No one’s beats Mom’s. Period. Agh, my mouth just wanted more and more. I couldn’t finish the last two bites, which was truly a shame, but my stomach had already doubled its normal capacity, so I had to stop. Sigh…
Anyway, you may be interested to know that on this night, a momentous occasion-as my mom called it- occurred. Her lovely Papa, the apple of her eye, the one she loves way more than me, taught her how to pick her nose. No I’m just kidding. But she was sitting with him when she happened upon her nostril, so we’re having fun passing the blame onto Papa. My sister had her iPhone with her so we could all remember this night. Click here to see for yourself. Aren’t you thrilled?
On a more business related subject, here was last night’s and this morning’s project.
This is the third and final quilt from Amy Butler’s Soul Blossoms line, at least for now. This was made from her Joy palette. This, along with the other two Soul Blossoms quilts will be completed soon, and added to the shop simultaneously. I just think the finished works should all be unveiled together. But for the moment, it along with its companions covering up the horrendously colored walls in my “studio”.
I think you will really enjoy tomorrows post, as I will be introducing to you a line that I have not previously worked with.
Have a good night. I must now go run off some of this dinner whilst trying not to throw up.
xo, Meredith
