So today marks my first day of blogging. I’ll give you a rundown of who I am. I’m just a girl, a young wife and mother, who loves to sew. I guess with a young baby, my passion for now is making baby quilts, diaper bags, and, well, all things baby. I also love home decor sewing. I received my first sewing machine when I was 12 or 13. I made a pillow… and messed around some during the years, but fabric is expensive and I lacked drive. When I was pregnant with my first child, I was working full time, and knew I would be a stay-at-home mom once Layla Grace was born. I had a friend who introduced me to Amy Butler fabrics, and I’ve been hooked on sewing ever since. My inspiration is my little girl, and my absolute favorite designers are Amy Butler and Anna Maria Horner.
I love to create things. I love to get out paper and a pencil, draw out a design, order my fabric, and bring it to life. I love the process. A day without sewing is a wierd day indeed. I’ve certainly found a passion. I will be launching my Etsy store on December 1st so stay tuned. I’m definitely going to try to be a consistent blogger, but all the mothers out there should understand if I happen to skip a day.
I think that’ll sum up my first post. I’m so excited I’m a blogger now!!!
Note: My sister is so awesome! She totally designed this blog for me, with a smile I might add, even though I am so indecisive and she wanted to shake me. I love you, Emilee. Check out her blog at www.emileefuss.com/blog
