This is what food looks like when I try to improvise. As you can see it doesn’t look very tasty.
You see, we have moved into a new house and have not yet acquired a toaster. So I had the wonderful and brilliant idea to toast the poor bagels in the skillet. Well this was my first attempt, which you should be happy to know I did not even dare to smear cream cheese on them and feed them to my husband.
My second attempt was much better, but they were still burnt. Since I had already wasted one bagel, I felt as though I needed to serve the rest, even if they were less than perfect. After Justin took a bite and gagged, he demanded that we get a toaster. I agreed wholeheartedly.
I saw that Kohls was having a sale.
“This should be the perfect place for a toaster,” I thought to myself.
I went to Kohls. The sale prices on toasters were between $60 and $70. Why yes, you did read that right.
“Are you kidding me?!,” I now thought (and voiced).
That much for a toaster??? Yes, that much for a toaster. A toaster that produces toast. Not gold, not money, just toast.
Needless to say, I came home without a toaster.
I promise I will not attempt to toast anything until I buy a reasonably priced toaster, otherwise Justin will serve me divorce papers.
Lol…hilarious, try wal-mart, best prices in town
uh yes. Why I didn’t look there first, I have no idea. So that will be tomorrow’s big trip.
lol…good idea!!!! I get pretty much all my appliances from there!! “Always low prices”
