I’ve been working on cutting out the custom bags for Boca Grande Outfitters. Today I’m trying to get the stabilizing and pleating done on half of them. The pleating is really quite time consuming so I fully expect for that part to take two days between the two bag sizes.
I’m really trying to come up with the bag name right now. I wanted to call it the “Sullivan Bag”, because I really like that name, but every person I’m related to is saying that is strictly a boy’s name or last name and makes no sense for a women’s bag to be called that. Sigh. So I’m going to be coming up with something else that’s not cheesy.
Also, I just thought I’d share a little personal tidbit with you. Today, Grandma and I took Layla to Cracker Barrel. It was her first time and she couldn’t leave without a toy. So I bought her a small cat that squeaks (which ironically sounds more like bark) and walks and wags its tail. This little cat is grey. When I asked Layla what she wanted to name her cat, she said, “Yellow!” And so Layla’s day is now complete with her grey cat named Yellow. I hope she always remembers this day. I always remembered my first trip to Cracker Barrel because either my parents or grandparents bought me the shiny harmonica that I wanted. I had it for years and years, and I always thought back to being there with them. Also, I lost my first tooth at a Cracker Barrel, and I remember playing checkers with Emilee, and then there was that peg game with the triangle block, and one of my last memories of my Nanny was at Cracker Barrel when Emilee almost choked to death on a piece of ham. Plenty of memories there….
Here’s to a productive day, and maybe a nostaligic one too.
