Chugging along

I got a third of my cutting out of the way for Layla Grace’s quilt. I can tacke the other two-thirds tomorrow when I receive the remainder of the fabric (fingers crossed). I mentioned on my last post that I was just going to back her quilt in voile instead of flannel because I didn’t have enough AMH flannel on-hand for a single piece back. Well, I actually ordered what I wanted from a friend at Pink Castle fabrics right after I wrote that post, so now I’m trying to decide: flannel or voile backing? Why do I give myself these choices? SIGH!!!

Also, I started on Emilee’s present today. I want to gush about how awesome it is on here, but she is nosey and will read it, so I must keep it a secret until after the big day. :( Sorry. It hurts me more than it hurts you because I think in her book it will be the coolest present she has ever or will ever receive.

I’m now feeling as though this post was just a space filler, because I have given you no useful information at all.

Wait. You know, I actually just finished that tutorial I was working on for you today. Tomorrow’s goal: getting it on here. I just need some help getting it loaded on here, and I will try my hardest to have it available for you tomorrow!

With that said, I am going to put some more work into Emilee’s present so I can dive right into cutting pieces for Layla’s quilt tomorrow! I’ll be back tomorrow with a tutorial on paper piecing made simple.
