I love the look of handquilted quilts. Regardless of the pattern, they are so beautiful because of all the love that goes into them. I mean, these days if you choose handquilting over machine quilting, you truly are putting love into every stitch- if only because of all the time it takes. That is exactly what I am setting out to do on the Genevieve quilt, and I expect to get a whopping dose of patience added to my character. You see, I am the least patient person on the face of the earth. Not with all things, but certainly the majority (ie: I am very patient with Munchkin most of the time, but when it comes to some project, I want it done NOW). And so I have set out to fix this trait in myself and also accomplish something I have long wanted to do.
I’ve already started, but I expect this will take a bit of time since I am determined to make beautiful, clean stitches.
I love love love these colors! So pretty!
And of course I have to work on another project while I’m not doing this. I have to feel like I’m getting something accomplished and have something to show for on here and in the shop. So here’s a little Innocent Crush from AMH. I wasn’t sure about this line initially because Good Folks is so great, but I’ve determined that I’m in love. The colors are just so rich and passionate, I just want to keep looking at them. The reds, the purples…YUM!
I should have this quilt finished sometime tomorrow. I love it!
Enjoy your Wednesday!
