A Sea of Blue

I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Christmas. We had a great second Christmas together as a couple, but we were also celebrating Layla’s first Christmas. She seemed to enjoy it, though I think it was a bit overwhelming. Surprisingly, she really didn’t care about the wrapping paper or boxes. Maybe next year.

Speaking of next year, it will be here in 2 days! Hello! Where did the time go? The passing of time kicks into superspeed once you have a child. It makes me sad watching Layla as I type this. She’s crawling, only a step away from walking (no pun intended). She’s babbling on about giving her all my attention and throwing her Santa ornament around the room. When did this happen? When did she just shoot up into a beautiful little girl? Sigh…

Well I’m excited about several of the projects I have going. I just finished a quilt top today. I love love love the colors in this Amy Butler fabric. Tomorrow I’m going to try to finish my Anna Maria quilt top. Also in the works are some Honey Bun Poufs (yes, more Amy Butler) for my impossibly hard floors. They will also be perfect for sitting closer to our TV which might in fact be smaller than this computer monitor.
