Most of the time when I make a quilt, I like to make an overall pattern, but I like to mix up the fabric, and not place anything the same way twice. I just like to enjoy the different fabrics rather than have only one placed next to another specific one and so forth. I’m not sure if I’m making since so I will just demonstrate:
See how there’s no real pattern in the placement of the individually designed squares? Well I decided to really mix things up for myself and try a little bit of order with a quilt. I used Anna Maria‘s Chocolate Lollipop fabric to create this pinwheel baby quilt top. I surprised myself, and I actually like how it has turned out. I’m excited to add the backing and binding and get this and three other quilts up in the shop sometime next week.
So what do you think?
