A Day in the Capital

I know I said I’d blog yesterday, but clearly that didn’t happen. I was sooo exhausted! So I hope you forgive me.

Well as you can guess, we were in DC yesterday. We didn’t do much, but if you’ve ever been to Washington you’ll understand that you can’t see a whole lot in only a day. We started out at the Capitol. After that my dad and I got interviewed by the Associated Press. We didn’t get on TV though because we didn’t tell them what they wanted to hear. Go figure.

After the Capitol we walked to the Washington Monument, and took the elevator to the top. It took forever to get the elevator to leave the ground, but it was well worth the wait. The view from the top is incredible. You can see the whole city.

A few hours after and one parking ticket later (DC roads are insane!), we rode to Arlington to Red Hot & Blue. That restaurant is by far one of the best and most filling BBQ places I’ve ever eaten at.  If you live within a few hours of one, you should go.

Well after such a long day, my feet were aching and I was so tired, and all I wanted to do was sleep.

And that is why I did not blog.
