The past few weeks have been spent redoing Layla’s room with a little paint and a whole lot of Anna Maria’s new line, Hand Drawn Garden (the re-release of some prints from her Garden Party and Drawing Room collections). Since I had only done very small things here or there ever, it was more like […]

  • Oh what a beautiful room! I LOVE the wall colors and that bed skirt is amazing!ReplyCancel

  • I love it! The sheets are my favorite part! I tend to go white-white-white for everything, but this jewel-tone room really speaks to the joy and wonder of a little girl her age. And I love how the prints are sophisticated enough to grow with her.ReplyCancel

Can I come and live it that room! Oh wow! That being said I would love to try out making a skirt for me, a bit like yours (could I go short too??)–As a mum of four, whose littlest is not quite 6 months, I get little time to sew and when I do it is usually for them or for one of my quilting bees. Would be lovely o make something achievable for me!! Thank you!ReplyCancel

Looks grrreat! I can’t wait to see it. You are done a terrific job. Bright, cheerful and very southern without being foofy or chintzy. I am sure Layla loves it and I can tell Olivia does.ReplyCancel

So it’s Wednesday. I’ve been doing a lot today. First, I tackled the weeks worth of dishes that was taking over my kitchen.¬†I hate doing dishes!!! After that I did a little work from home. Hello there! Its been quiet here on the blog, but I promise a lot has been going on off line. One thing I’ve finished this past week is my Centerpiece needlepoint pillow. (Note: The pictures for today stink. I had to edit them on my phone and they look way different on the computer. They […]

I just happened upon your blog in my quest of trying to decide which AMH kit I wanted to purchase. Your work is gorgeous! Did you order directly from her sight or do you have a store you prefer? Any direction would be appreciated. I’ve never done Needlepoint, but plenty of cross stitch. (I’m really a quilter, but definitely want to do more stitching.) just trying to find some good stitching sources.ReplyCancel

    • I order all my needlepoint kits directly from Anna Maria’s shop! If you like cross stitching, you’ll love needlepoint. :)ReplyCancel

A week or so ago, I had a hankering to do something¬†different. I wanted to sew up some sort of small project unlike anything else I have going on. I picked up my copy of Anna Maria’s Needleworks Notebook knowing that it would have just what I was looking for. Her Nouveau Needle Cushion fit […]

What a week this has been! I wish I could explain to you my sewing emotions, get a pep talk from you, and be on my merry way. I’m so off lately. I have done plenty of handwork however. This past week my focus was on stitching up Anna Maria’s Nouveau Needle Cushion from her […]

  • Oh how I wish we lived close, our kids would LOVE each other. Layla at the playground is my son every day, basically Hi, my name is … and what is yours? I love it! I was dying laughing at the “hookers” because I have a similar story….my husband got a new “gerber tool” and retired the old broken one, so he gave it to my son to play with and he misplaced it and proceeded to look for his “hooker” all day. So cute, and yes the grow so fast! Love seeing Layla in all those pretty dresses!ReplyCancel
