Today

Today I decided to work on a project that would only take “today”. I cut out the pattern pieces, transferred the lines, and cut out the fabric for Layla’s new Jump Rope Dress. I’ve sewn it all together except for the last pocket, and I haven’t hemmed it yet. So I’m almost there. I used an aqua gigham print from October Afternoon’s Fly a Kite line. I love the ginghams in that line! I can’t wait to show you the dress, but because my card reader is broken, it will have to wait until I can go see Emilee tomorrow. Maybe I can even get her to take the pictures….

Other than that, I’ve just made some turkey burgers and a smoothie. It really has been a productive day. I needed a one day project, just so I could say I’ve finished something. I love that feeling. Once I’m finished with the dress, it will be onto more quilting on the Spinning Stars Quilt.

I promise more tomorrow! Right now I need to get my rear in gear and do the Tapout workout with Justin. Have a great evening!
