Making a dent

I’ve made nine of thirty blocks for my Spinning Stars Quilt. I’m going to try to get that number up to fifteen today. So far I’m just working with the initial red solid, but once I finish fifteen blocks, I will begin to incorporate the solids that Mrs. AMH sent me. I’m so thrilled to be tackling this project. I keep telling myself to keep at it even though I’m thinking of a million other things I have to do, I’ve waited a year to make this quilt, and by golly, I deserve to finish it in a reasonable amount of time. I’m hoping to have the top finished in the next week or so, and then I’ll begin the handquilting which will probably take a month of evenings spent in front of the TV watching The Office or Saved By The Bell. I so look forward to that time with just me, a needle, some Perle 5’s, and my beautiful quilt.

I need to take advantage of the time I have to get some sewing done now that Grandma is watching Layla swim for a bit.
