If you are a fan of The Office, my gift to Emilee needs no explanation. If you need a refresher, however, this idea came from Season Four’s episode, Fun Run.

I’m so happy I can finally show you what took me about 50 hours to make for Emilee’s Christmas present! I embroidered the words and creatures, and then I quilted the background and made it into a pillow for Emilee to treasure all the days of her life.

First, we have Michael’s walrus with the head of a sea lion.

Next, is the creature with the body of an egret and the head of a meetkat.

And last, is the monster with the head of a monkey with the ears of a reindeer and the body of a porcupine.

I was so worried Emilee would hate this, but I also know that we are both deeply obsessed with the Office and this came from such a good season. Who could hate something made from one of Michael Scott’s best quotes? I invested more time and love into this project than any other thing ever. Except for being in labor over Layla…maybe. But even that took less time than this! She did love this though, and her expression on Christmas day made every bit of that work worth it!
