My Swoon quilt is pieced together. You may need to take a moment to soak that in. I know I do. I was beginning to think it would never get finished! I added the sashing on Thursday and Friday and now its ready to be sent off to the quilter. This is something I swore […]

  • I’m so proud to be part of this wonderful quilt!ReplyCancel

  • love it. Makes me wish I had chosen this fabric for my swoon quilt…ReplyCancel

  • woohoo! It looks fantastic, can’t wait to see how she quilts it. And there is no shame in sending something this big out to a quilter!ReplyCancel

  • love it :) and yes, you are such a rebel ;)ReplyCancel

Do you have this laying on a full size bed or queen? I am getting ready to make my mom a swoon quilt for her bed and I am just looking for a visual, although I have done all the math to make it come out the size she wants. I will be adding an extra row of swoon blocks, just as you did here. I really like the way yours turned out!ReplyCancel

    • This is a queen size bed. Our bed is high up, so it may have looked better with sixteen blocks. But we just have the twelve so it will have to work! :DReplyCancel

I’m definitely having an off day. Its pretty much the opposite of my productive can’t-stop-me days from last week. Its what one of my co-workers would refer to as the doldrums but in this case it applies to the whole day. But Emilee came to my rescue and fed me food from Panera, and that […]

  • I’m so excited to see your finished Echo Swoon! Man alive, I need to get back to working on mine. And in my opinion, the second layout has more impact… either will look great though. Hope you are out of your doldrums tomorrow!ReplyCancel

I like the second layout. I finished a giant star this summer and I love it. You can check it out on flickr. My name there is MsSpy. Tell me what you think..ReplyCancel

  • i also like the second- beautiful btw!ReplyCancel

Every once in a while, something really catches me by surprise. I don’t watch the news, and I try to avoid it for the most part. As a whole, it is depressing, and reading it does nothing positive for me. And because I have such a bleak outlook towards the news, I am seldom surprised […]

  • This made me smile and I could use the smile today. I’m glad your friend and beemate (because this kind of help goes way beyond just beemate) stepped in. And how gorgeous are those additions?!?!ReplyCancel

  • ok, I have made 2 swoon blocks and know that both the cutting and piecing take forever! This is just the nicest thing, and I loved hearing the story!ReplyCancel

  • That is awesome that someone did that for you! I am really impressed. What a bummer that the bee was a bit of a disappointment.ReplyCancel

  • Hilary

All of the blocks look so great together! :)ReplyCancel

  • Oh that is too too sweet, you are right unfortunately being at the end isn’t the place to be. I just sent out fabric for one of my bees only to find out that 3 of the members are virtually missing and I can forget about seeing those blocks. What really stinks is that it is out of print fabric I sent and like you only had so much of… annoying. It is really nice that your “mate” did that for you, that quilt will be all the more fabulous because of it!ReplyCancel

Without any huge projects on my plate at the moment, I’ve had plenty of time to tackle some small projects today. I love having the freedom to be able to accomplish small things, simply for the gratification of it. First up, I finished the backing on the Patchwork Prism Sham (which I won’t show until […]

I love the granny squares, Meredith! Thank you so much! :)ReplyCancel

Gosh, I love these. I had to have Emilee (aren’t her pictures beautiful?) take the pictures to do the blocks justice. I mean, I think I picked the perfect combo in combining Camille’s Swoon Quilt with Lotta’s Echo. I made the three of these blocks this weekend, and they came together so easily. The directions […]
